Pioneers and Inventors are learning about the Roman Empire and its impact on Britain.
Recent studies have included learning about the key features of Roman cities, such as bath houses, the forum and the grid layout of streets. This week, we also discovered how many towns and cities in the UK existed from the time of the Romans by looking at maps to find places ending in -cester, -caster and -chester. We are looking forward to recalling all of this information to investigate Roman Exeter (using the archaeological evidence available) in our future lessons.
