  • This term, the children have thoroughly enjoyed watching our sweet peas, beans and sunflowers grow, observing the changes that have taken place over time
  • Explorers became foodie detectives this week as they took on a top‑secret challenge.
  • We were so proud of our Explorers as they took part in their first Sports Day. They showed great resilience while taking part in 6 different activities and a fun run!
  • This half term our learning focus is all about our community and environment, and this week we have been thinking about going on a journey — all the way to the beach.
  • Over the past few weeks, our PE focus has been on developing the children’s throwing techniques.
  • The children were so curious during our minibeast hunt and were super at ‘noticing’ living things!
  • The Explorers had a great time today taking part in The Great Bishop Forest School Bounce off!
  • The Explorers were excited to have some visitors from Shaldon Zoo today!
  • As part of our RE topic about Special Places we visited St John's church to find out what happens in a church and why they are special places for Christians.
  • This half term we are learning about growth and change.
  • In maths this week we have been exploring odd and even numbers!
  • Explorers and Adventures were excited to take part in their sunny Inter house Competition on Wednesday!

  • The Explorers thoroughly enjoyed taking part in our Aspirations Day!
  • The Explorers were full of excitement for their first music session this week.
  • The Explorers certainly enjoyed their porridge making experience.
  • The theme for Safer Internet Day is ‘Smart tech, safe choices - Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI’.
  • Our teddy bears had a fabulous day in Explorers!
  • In maths this week we have been representing, making and matching the numbers 6, 7 and 8!
  • In RE we have been thinking about how amazing the world is and exploring the Christian belief that God made the whole world.
  • PERSEVERING is our PSED focus this half term.
  • As part of our focus on Polar Regions the Explorers were set a challenge to free our penguins from the ice!
  • The Explorers have had an amazing last week enjoying a range of fun treats including a visit to Elfridges, Christmas crafts and a yummy Christmas dinner! Merry Christmas!

  • Year 1 Explorers continued their learning about bees today and had fun planting pollinator friendly flowers!
  • The Explorers demonstrated great noticing skills during our mini beast hunt this week. We also took photos of different habitats for our art project!
  • This week the Y1 Explorers finished their final art piece based on the story 'Somebody Swallowed Stanley'.
  • We had a fantastic morning exploring the local church! Rev Dave taught us a song and a magic trick and we even had our own wedding ceremony!
  • The Explorers have been busy planting seeds this week!
  • Today, as part of our whole school focus on Sustainability, we had a Bee Keeping experience from the Newton Abbot Beekeeping Association!
