This week, Inventors and Pioneers celebrated National Poetry Day.
The theme was refuge and the children expressed great empathy towards those that seek refuge and could talk about places that make them feel safe. We listened to poems relating to this topic, but also listened to poems around other ideas/themes. Everyone really enjoyed listening to poems across the day and the children were able to make some suggestions for more amusing poems they liked and wanted to hear again.
