Year 1 have been consolidating their knowledge of sorting 2D shapes.
The Year 1 children are coming to the end of their Shapes unit in Maths and have been revisiting different objectives to consolidate their learning. Today the children revisited sorting 2D shapes. They were given lots of different coloured and different sized 2D shapes and two sorting circles. Next they were challenged to sort the shapes into as many different criteria as they could. The children worked in pairs and came up with loads of different variations that they enjoyed sharing and comparing with their friends. What brilliant mathematicians!
