The children have been working really hard over the last few weeks to find out what life was like in Ancient Greece and to learn how the Ancient Greeks have impacted the Western World.
Pioneers and Inventors have spent time scrutinising sources to find out what legacies have been left by the Greeks and analysing the reliability and validity of sources used. The children have used a range of evidence to offer clear reasons around interpretations of events and used our historical enquiry skills to identify similarities and differences between Ancient Greek times and the modern day, carefully considering the long term impact and consequences of this time period.
The children have made some excellent links between things that have changed and stayed the same and remembered LOTS of facts about events (such as the Olympics) as well as sharing their opinions around changes in areas such as education and democracy. Impressive stuff Years 5 & 6! Keep it up!
