Pioneers and Inventors had a fantastic day visiting Plymouth Aquarium!
The children took part in a workshop around evolution (which really supported our Topic learning!) and found out all about animal adaptations, inheritance and how land animals and marine species have evolved from single-celled organisms over billions of years.
They were also treated to a tour of the aquarium, where they got up close to loads of different sea creatures: fish, sharks, rays, starfish, sea turtles and more. It was lovely to see the children so engaged and excited to see all these amazing animals swimming so close to their noses!
Our visit was highly interactive and the children showed great curiosity when asking staff lots of imaginative questions. We look forward to following up on our new learning at school over the course of this week, and are very proud of how sensible our children were when exploring the aquarium. Great job Pioneers and Inventors! Thank you all for such a fantastic experience!
