Our Science learning this week was all about separating materials through the processes of sieving, filtering and evaporating. Children were set the riddle of an adventurer being left at sea with no fresh water to drink. How would they survive the perilous journey? Children participated in experiments after devising a fair test and were able to measure results accurately and over a period of time during the lesson. They had to predict which process would produce the best result; observe the experiment looking for changes over time; and then reflect of their initial prediction.
