The children were fantastic scientists when setting up their investigation to see what a marigold plant needs to survive and grow.
This week in Science, the children continued to develop their understanding of plants and we focused on what they need to grow and survive. We revisited their knowledge about seed germination from KS1 learning and were impressed with how much they remembered. Then, we focused on the 5 things a plant needs once it has germinated. We looked at how different plants have adapted to their environments before setting up an investigation for our marigold plants. The children were superb at working in teams and setting up their fair tests! Great job Year 3 and 4 and we will share results in a couple weeks.
