History Enrichment Morning16 October 2024 (by admin) |
The children had a fantastic (and wet) morning taking part in activities that immersed them in the lives of people from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age.
Throughout the morning, Discoverers and Voyagers lit fires, built tools and weapons, created shelters and camps, made clay pots and beads, and baked Bronze Age bean cakes. Almost all of these activities were completed using materials which nature provided and showed the children just how challenging life for these ancient people would have been and how skilled they would need to be to survive and thrive.
They were brilliant and had a superb time taking part in all of these activities. We send our thanks to the Forest School team who volunteered their time to support the children for the day.
