This half term, Discoverers and Voyagers have been developing their understanding of fractions and exploring all the different ways you can work with fractions.
We have been blown away by the positive attitude from the children towards learning about Fractions. There is so much to explore with fractions and through; using objects, looking at images, using number lines and telling stories, the children have shown a brilliant understanding of fractions.
Year 3 have developed their understanding of unit and non unit fractions, counting on and back in fractions and comparing fractions. They are now starting to explore equivalent fractions.
Year 4 have revisited their previous learning to secure understanding before exploring more challenging equivalent fractions and learning about mixed fractions and improper fractions. They are now starting to add and subtract fractions!
