News Stories Orienteering This week, Year 6 created some adventurous orienteering activities for Year 5 to complete. Y6 Leavers' Assembly The Y6 children treated their audience to a fantastic Leavers' Assembly today- a real celebration of their time at Bishop. Posting Invitations The Explorers had great fun, out on their walk to the postbox. They were very excited to post their invitation to our Pirate Party, next Monday! Open The Book We enjoyed another fantastic assembly from the Open the Book team today based on the story of Daniel in the Lions' Den. RE- Hinduism Last week, Sandhya Dave, a Cultural Champion, visited our school to teach us about Hinduism Bishopsteignton Heritage Visit This week, we had visitors from Bishopsteignton Heritage in to speak about the history of the village and give us some tips for research. The Village Art Show The Explorers have been working hard, creating their mixed media entries for the art show. Seaside Holidays Today we started to think about holidays now and long ago.
We talked about different entertainment people enjoyed when visiting the seaside. Caterpillars! Success! The preschool children were amazing at caring for our tiny caterpillars, observing the changes over time before finally releasing them in to the garden. Sandhya Dave Workshop The children in Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed a workshop today, from cultural champion Sandhya Dave, all about Hinduism!
